Welcome to change your mind meditation. I want you to find a comfortable place to sit
or lay down and if you feel comfortable close your eyes. I want
you to take a deep breath and exhale releasing any tension and stress in your
body. Take another deep breath in inhaling
peace and calm an exhale any worries or anxieties. Take one final deep breath in and with this
exhale allow yourself to fully relax.
Now you’re at the spa, waiting for your face treatment. You are lying on the table. The therapist knocks on the door and comes in. The therapist begins by washing your face
with a cleanser; removing any dirt or debris.
You’re allowed to just relax. You
have nothing to worry about, nothing to do. Allow the therapist to take care of you and
rejuvenate your skin while the relaxation rejuvenates your mind. The therapist then begins with gentle
exfoliation to remove dead skin cells.
She rubs in a lightly abrasive lotion in a circular motion on your
face. It doesn’t hurt; it just feels a
little bit scratchy on your face. The
circular motion also provides a bit of a massage for your skin. She then uses hot wet towels to remove any
remaining lotion or soap, leaving your skin fresh and clean. The Esthetician then
puts steam around your face and the warm steam isn’t too hot and feels nice on your
face, opening up your pores. Breathe in
the nice warm steam; let it fill your lungs as it an opens up your pores, and
opens up your sinuses. It feels warm and
relaxing. As the steam is complete the
therapist places a mask on your skin, avoiding your eyes and your mouth. As you relax to let them mask dry the therapist
massages your shoulders and your arms and your hands. You are feeling totally relaxed. Once the mask is dry, warm wet towels are used
to remove the mask. A hydrating lotion
is put on your face. The Esthetician
used this time to massage your face, using small hard circles on your forehead
and your temple; sweeping motions with
her fingers around eyes and down your nose; Massaging the muscles of your jaw
and underneath your mouth and under your nose with sweeping strokes with her
fingers. You are feeling totally
relaxed and well taken care of. As your
face treatment completes.
Now remember that
feeling of relaxation as you drift off to sleep, or returned to the room by
wiggling your fingers and toes and then opening your eyes. Remember meditation changes your mind.
